We are a psychotherapy group practice based in Union Square, Manhattan, NYC, offering both in-person and online therapy. We specialize in attachment-focused, relational therapies while integrating evidence-based approaches like CBT and DBT.

Licensed Clinical Positions
Full-Time Licensed Therapist position specializing in attachment-focused, relationally based psychotherapy
- Current professional licensure (psychology, clinical social work, mental health counselor) in good standing in the state of New York.
- Prior experience in or passion for engaging in racial equity, social justice and diversity work
- Salary is fee for service and therapist’s rates of service are commensurate with current level of professional experience, potential for generating referrals to the practice, and level of AEDP, DDP or EFT training.
- Medical, dental, vision and long-term disability benefits are offered to full-time employees.
- Participation in the group’s 401K plan, which includes employer matching of contributions takes place after 1 year of employment.
We are seeking a full-time licensed clinical psychologist, clinical social worker, or mental health counselor to join our vibrant and warm community. The ideal candidate would have an established proficiency in at least one form of attachment-based, relational intervention, including: accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP), dyadic developmental psychotherapy (DDP), and/or emotion focused therapy (EFT).
In addition, we are seeking a candidate with an explicit dedication to recognizing and appreciating diverse identities in therapy practice. Rennicke & Associates has made a long-term commitment to enhancing our consciousness in order to better understand how dynamics relating to racial, ethnic, and gender identity, as well as sexual orientation, can influence our ability to relate to clients, each other, and the world at large. We are looking for new voices to help us deepen this process of growth.
An ideal candidate is one who is enthusiastic about exploring their identities and learning about the complex experiences of identities outside of their own. In addition, they should be seeking clinical training experiences that focus on an attachment-focused and realational approach to treatment.
Candidates with a specialization in working with children under 5 years old or children aged 5-10 years old, and/or strong interest in working with adopted children and families, externalizing disorders (oppositional defiant disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), as well as prior experience with or a passion for racial equity and social justice work will receive very strong preference in the selection process.
Part-time Licensed Therapist position specializing in attachment-focused, relationally-based psychotherapy
- Current professional licensure (psychology, clinical social work, mental health counselor) in good standing in the state of New York.
- Prior experience in or passion for engaging in racial equity, social justice and diversity work

The ideal candidates seeking part-time positions are those currently working with underserved populations and in community-based clinics who are seeking a way to enhance their income while also maintaining their commitments to their clientele. Additionally, academic faculty who want to teach, research, and pursue clinical work, but who don’t want the stress and overhead of maintaining a private practice would also be an ideal fit for our community who deeply values ongoing learning and training.
Candidates with a specialization in working with children under 5 years old or children aged 5-10 years old, and/or strong interest in working with adopted children and families, externalizing disorders (oppositional defiant disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), as well as prior experience with or a passion for racial equity and social justice work will receive very strong preference in the selection process.
Training Opportunities
Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Child and Adult Psychotherapy
- Graduation from an APA accredited clinical psychology program
- Completion of an APA approved clinical psychology internship with children and adolescents
- New York State limited permit in psychology
- Prior experience or passion for engaging in racial equity, social justice, and diversity work
Yearly salary will be $50K for the first post-doctoral position, and $90K for the second year of licensed clinical work. in addition to significant funding for training opportunities. Funds for medical and dental insurance, and professional malpractice insurance will also be provided. Invitation to enroll in 401K retirement program in 2nd year of work.
We are seeking a full time post-doctoral fellow in child and adult psychotherapy for the 2023 – 2024 academic years.
The ideal candidate would have an established proficiency in at least one form of evidence-based treatment with children and adults, as well as a present a plan for beginning or continuing training in a specific attachment focused, relationally-based treatment modality.
In addition, we are seeking a candidate with an explicit dedication to recognizing and appreciating diverse identities in therapy practice.
