Understanding Coverage:

Insurance and Payment Options

At Rennicke & Associates, we strive to make our therapy services accessible and straightforward for all our clients simplifying the processes and assisting you along the way.

Insurance

We simplify the process making it stress-free.

Out-of-Network Benefits

At Rennicke & Associates, we strive to make our therapy services accessible and straightforward for all our clients simplifying the processes and assisting you along the way.

Clarity in our documents

We ensure our invoices are easy to read and readily available through our patient portal, so you can easily keep track of your payments and insurance submissions.

We help you know your coverage before you start

As individual plans can vary widely, we always encourage patients to contact their insurance provider directly before starting services with us. We will happily provide you with typical CPT or session codes to help you determine what level of coverage will be provided to you.

Estimated Reimbursement Rates

In our experience, most of our patients receive between 50% to 80% of the cost of their sessions, after their deductible is met.

Reimbursement

We assist you along the way with 3 easy steps.

Payment Methods

You can pay for sessions by keeping a MasterCard, VISA or Discover card on file. Payment is due at the end of each session.

Monthly Statements and Insurance Submissions

  • At the end of each month, you will receive your
statement of services through TherapyNotes Patient Portal, a convenient and secure method of accessing your documentation.
  • You will be required to create an account for your patient portal, from which you can view and download your statement of therapy services.
  • You can send this form to your insurance company,
usually along with a 1500 Health Insurance Claim Form to receive payment.
  • You can also provide authorization for us to send it directly to your insurance company on your behalf.

Reimbursement

Your insurance carrier will process your claim, just like
they would for a medical claim. If they have any questions about authorization of services, please contact your insurance carrier directly.

Under 18?

Information for parents of children under 18 years old:

Timothy’s Law was enacted on January 1, 2007 and provides greater mental health parity in insurance coverage for everyone, but especially for kids. Children under 18 years of age in New York State with significant emotional or behavioral issues (e.g. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity, Oppositional Defiant, Anxiety or Depressive Disorders) are eligible for the same exact coverage their insurance provides them for their medical benefits. Thus, your fee for seeing a child psychologist should be the same as it is for seeing a dermatologist or any other medical specialist, generally the amount of your co-pay.
