I'm drawn to working within the Internal Family Systems model, a internal attachment-based modality that uplifts the complexity and wisdom of our internal worlds and respects and strengthens our inherent capacity to heal burdened parts of our systems and develop compassionate, strengths-based relationships with ourselves and others. In IFS, we work to develop understanding and relatedness to all of parts of our systems, with particular attention to parts that have been neglected, shamed, and overburdened. We provide these parts with the healing attention and experiences that they need to continue their development and to form secure and symbiotic attachments within ourselves. This process is invariably transformative, as we discover the creativity, wisdom, and talents of our many parts and help them to manifest in ways that contribute to a more fulfilling and harmonious life.
