Kate Ballen, MSW Intern

Kate Ballen, MSW Extern

I have worked with children, teens and adults in a variety of settings. From the Barnard College Center for Toddler Development where I ran parent groups for over ten years, to counseling teens at New York high schools, and to working individually with adults who faced a variety of life obstacles, my focus has been to help each client grow, thrive, understand and transform their difficulties. I combine a range of therapies that include practical solutions and empathetic listening.

Previously to entering graduate social work school, I was a journalist (co-authoring a book on early childhood parenting and many articles on parenting) and a writer/producer of two feature films.
